God is love

CHAPTER 4
THE STORY OF CREATION: MADE WITH LOVE

Genesis 1:1

Long, long ago, before there was anything, there was only God. God is full of love - so much love that His heart overflowed and spilled over into making the whole world. God made the earth, the sky, and the shining sun and moon. He made rivers, mountains, trees, and flowers, all with great care and love.

Then God made animals of every kind: playful dolphins in the sea, colorful birds in the sky, and gentle deer in the forest. He saw everything and smiled because it was all good.

But God saved His greatest love for last - He made people. He made them in His own image, perfect and special, to love and take care of all He created. Just like when a mommy and daddy love their baby so much, God's love made us alive. God extended Himself through us, He made us rulers, kings, gods of planet earth. All authority was given to us to manage the heaven called earth. Remember where God dwells becomes heaven, even your body once you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour that body becomes "heaven" - the temple of God, where God dwells.

19 Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own;

Every day, God shows His love by taking care of all He made, reminding us that we are His beloved masterpieces. And that is how the story of creation is really a story of love - God's love made everything, and most of all, He made us with love.
