CHAPTER 6
THE GREATEST COMMANDMENT: LOVE GOD, LOVE OTHERS

In a world full of rules, Jesus gave us the most important one - a command so amazing that it can change everything! He said, "Love God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength, and love your neighbor as yourself." These two simple, powerful commands are called the Greatest Commandment.

Love God with all you are, God loves you more than anyone else ever can - He loved you before you were even born! He wants your whole heart and all that you are. Loving God means talking to Him, trusting Him, and following Him every day. When we love God, we are filled with joy, kindness, and strength to do good things.

Love Others Like Yourself. The second part of the commandment is just as important. Jesus reminds us to love others just like we love ourselves. That means being kind, helpful, and forgiving to everyone - your family, friends, classmates, and even people you don't know well. When we love others, God's love shines through us!

How to Love God and Others - Pray and talk to God every day.
- Be thankful for all God gives you.
- Help someone in need.
- Share and be kind to your friends.
- Forgive others, even when it's hard.


A Story to Remember:
Imagine a little girl named Sarah who wanted to be the best friend ever. She decided to love God with all her heart by praying each morning. Then she looked around to find ways to love others. She helped her brother, shared her toys, and even made a new friend feel welcome at school. Sarah found that loving God and loving others made her happy every day!

Closing Prayer
"Dear God, thank You for loving me first. Help me love You with all my heart and love others just like I love myself. Teach me to be kind, patient, and to share Your love everywhere I go. Amen."
