"Dating Like a Boss" is not just a book but a rendition of excellence in the way of budding or formulating a Christian family.
Families founded on the Word of God are likened to a man that has built his house upon a rock as enshrined in the Word of
God according to Matthew 7:24-27
Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise
man who built his house on the rock. 25 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house;
yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. 26 But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put
them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds
blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.
The success of families is rooted in the principles of God. You will never regard yourself as a successful person in life until
God is part of what you are doing. If you want to build a successful family or marriage, you need to make God part of the equation,
as the Bible clearly states in Psalms 37:4 King James Version Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires
of thine heart. First things first. You will delight yourself in the Lord first, then in return the Lord shall grant you the desires
of your heart. What do you want in life? Whatever you want must be in line with the will and purposes of God concerning your life.
Christ is the solid rock. It was God who suggested Eve to Adam, according to Genesis 2:22-24 The Passion Translation (TPT).
Then YAHWEH-God used the portion of Adam's side and skillfully crafted a woman and presented her to him.
Then Adam said: 'At last! One like me! Her bones were formed from my bones, and her flesh from my flesh!
This one will be called 'Woman,' for she was taken from a man.' For this reason, a man leaves his father
and his mother to be unselfishly attached to his wife. They become one flesh as a new family! Until you hear from the divine,
you are not building on a solid rock. As a young person, you are advised to build upon the truth, for you shall know the truth
and the truth shall make/set you free. Successful marriages are anchored by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is a harmonizer.
In your pursuit, make sure that you are guided by the Spirit of God. Since the Holy Spirit is a harmonizer, endeavor to date
someone who is Spirit-filled that will help you to iron out unnecessary conflicts.
Faith-based dating erodes unnecessary problems because the Spirit of God ensures that you are on the same page.
The Holy Spirit is given to you as a guide, helper, standby and adviser. Those who are led by God will never be stranded.
If you commit your relationship to God, it will never be stranded. A relationship gets stranded when it loses direction.
As mentioned before that the Holy Spirit is a guide. When you date, you date with a purpose to build a family.
Just like Israel, God ensured that He leads them by the pillar of cloud by day to shade them from scorching heat
and the pillar of fire by night to provide warmth and direction. Where your optical eyes fail, God's eyes never fail.
Your dream family is a possibility provided you bank on God. Those who put their trust in the Lord will never be
disappointed. God has the best interest in you. He cannot in any way create you to struggle in life. The bible says,
according to Psalm 139:14 New International Version, I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful. I know that full well.
God cannot invest His image and likeness into someone He has no
interest in.
Dating has to be purposeful. When you date, ensure that you aim to build a family. Dating according to Christian values
is meant to build a Godly family. Why do you need to date in the first place? Dating is a period of learning about each
other and increasing your chemistry in the same direction. In the event your fiancee is not governed by the Holy Spirit,
or you do not share the same values, be comfortable to stop the journey. Why should you speed towards the wrong direction when
you can take the right direction? It is very pivotal to date with intentionality, self-respect, and vision.
As you make intentional decisions you'll be prompted to examine your own "blueprints," to recognize the difference between
the transitory and the timeless, and to make choices that yield not just fleeting sparks, but lasting joy.
It is very very nice to spend the rest of your life in a happy marriage. See beyond the wedding day!
Again, you are advised to view dating as a learning journey, not a reflection of your inherent value.
Embrace a growth mindset, always endeavour to adopt a student mindset. In life we grow by humbling ourselves before
those who are more knowledgeable than we are. The moment you tell yourself that you know everything you should
know that you have already destroyed your life. We grow by choice not by chance. Even God says choose
according to Deuteronomy 30:19 New International Version This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live
God respects your choices, choose life, choose to date the godly way.
