THE REAL MAN'S BREAKFAST
CHAPTER 18 THE BRICK FORCE THAT BINDS THE FAMILY TOGETHER
BUILDING BLOCKS FOR FAMILY RESILIENCE AND UNITY
A family doesn't need to be perfect but it needs to be united. A family is a kingdom, a kingdom divided shall not stand. We need to love more and suffer long (patience) for our families to stand the test of time. Don't try to win every conversation but in every conversation try to win your beloved one. Trophies follow triumph. You have not won in life if you have not won your family, your family is your trophy.
Colossians 3:14: Love as the binding force of unity. Unity is a byproduct of love, Jesus had to spend time lecturing His spiritual family (12 disciples) about the importance of loving one another.
John 13:35
A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another. We cannot over emphasize the importance of loving one another in the family. Love has proved to be the binding force, it is the brick force that keeps the house together and without cracks. Love creates harmony, harmony creates unity. Unity is not all about agreeing in everything but it is all about embracing and treating our differences with honor. Love and be united as it is a command from the Lord.
A united family provides a safe and secure environment where members feel valued and supported. When people are valued they feel secured and their self-esteem increases. It is much easier to discover your purpose in an environment that promotes oneness/unity. Our children learn the importance of fellowship, sharing and caring. My daughter while she was still at kindergarten taught us that sharing is caring. In an environment where we are united we share and take care of one another. Be your brothers keeper as the Bible says.
A family is the heart of our lives - a sacred bond that shapes who we are and how we navigate the world. Unity in the family is not just a blessing; it is the foundation of strength, love, and resilience. When we stand together, we create a fortress of support that no challenge can break. Imagine a family as a beautiful tapestry, woven with threads of trust, respect, and understanding. Each member adds their unique color and texture, but it is the unity that holds the fabric strong and vibrant. In unity, differences become strengths, conflicts become opportunities for growth, and love becomes the unshakable force that binds us.
When a family comes together in love and unity, they create a strong bond that reflects God's heart. Doing things together-whether it's sharing a meal, praying, or simply spending quality time. Taking out your children for recreational activities has a potential of transforming your marriage, your children are bound to express themselves freely in a casual environment. Unity builds trust, joy, and peace.
Let every moment shared be a reminder that together, as one family, you reflect God's perfect heart. Psalms 133:1 says how good and pleasant it is when God's people live together in unity. Stay together, love, peace and minding how your partner feels is the glue that keeps a family together.
A) A united family is the hope of the society. The future we want is banking on the strength of the family.
B) A united family is bound to produce professionals of tomorrow, men and women of impact.
C) A united family is a support network.
D) Unity in the family is developed by valuing each and every member of the family. People do better when they are in an environment that values Respect, Honor, Love and Humility.
Let us celebrate the power of togetherness where every voice is heard, every heart is valued, and every hand is held. Unity in the family inspires us to rise above adversity, cherish our shared moments, and build a legacy of harmony that echoes through generations. Remember, a united family is a beacon of hope and a source of endless joy. Let us nurture this unity with kindness, patience, and unwavering commitment. Together, we are unstoppable. Together, we are home.
