Fathers are expected to raise standards in their families. They have to be exceptional in whatever they do, that is leading as an example of excellence. Excellence is not just a standard but The standard of The King of Glory. A man is a priest in his house, he has to enforce the laws of God in his family. In the event things go wrong in your family, you should know as a man that you have failed to scale up to the level of competency. God believes in you even if you don't believe in yourself. Men as pillars of society are expected to raise the bar for God's glory. Future leaders learn winning ways from fathers who are astute in the society. Raising future leaders takes alot of mentorship.
